What is it?
A hosted 'off the shelf' modular data capture and reporting application for any business that has a mobilised workforce. Due to its modular approach the system can be expanded to a full enterprise solution including human resource functions and asset management. pocket2web has been founded from our experiences as a leading developer of mobile and web based applications since 2001.
Who's using it?
pocket2web was launched in 2004 and is used by many of the top FMCG and Field marketing companies in the UK, such as 20th Century Fox (UK) [see case study] and eXPD8 field marketing [see case study]. It is suitable for any business with field based operatives collecting information that needs to be collated and reported quickly.
How does it work?
Information is securely sent to and collected from any Windows Mobile handheld device using our in-house sync application 'ambersync'* via a mobile GPRS or 3G, WIFI or PC with activesync. When data is received by our servers it is instantly processed and made available in near 'real time' for reporting and downloading on-line or forwarded on to third party systems (via FTP, email etc).
The system also boasts a full set of administration features to help manage and analyse the performance of the field team.
'Out of the box' the system provides a generous array of features to get most businesses up and running. For those with a more varying or demanding needs, our extensive range of add-on modules are available, and if these do not suit a module bespoking service is also available.
There is a one off set up cost and thereafter charging is based on the number of questions asked and if using pda's and the sync service, a small fixed monthly charge per pda user.
